Lazio have reportedly agreed a contract extension with Nigeria international Ogenyi ‘Eddy’ Onazi.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been in the senior squad since July 2012 and his current contract is set to expire in June 2016.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a deal was struck with agent Jonathan Barnett today and will be announced over the weekend.
The extension will be until June 2018 with wages worth €0.7m per season, though there should also be a buy-out clause for €10m.
‘Eddy’ Onazi is already a Nigeria international with one goal and 21 caps.
He has been linked with a move to the Premier League or Bundesliga in recent months.
Lazio also need to hold negotiations for contract renewals with Senad Lulic and Antonio Candreva.
