Nigeria midfielder Ogeyi Onazi is facing a disciplinary tribunal in Italy following a contractual wrangle involving agents.
Reports in Italy say the federal prosecutor Stefano Palazzi has referred the Lazio star to the National Disciplinary Tribunal for not honouring an agreement with an agent.
Onazi allegedly signed a new contract with Lazio three years ago with agent Kevin Fioranelli facilitating the deal, while another agent had been earlier involved in working on the deal.
Lazio have also been dragged to the tribunal for their part in the dispute.
Fioranelli has been charged with conflict of interest “for doing factual assistance and advice in favor of the player Onazi, at the conclusion of the renewal contract with the Company SS Lazio S.p.A. which occurred on 11.07.2012, despite being in force mandated by footballer Onazi to another agent. ”
Lazio Sports Director Igli Tare is also facing the tribunal “for failing to carry out the necessary checks during the contract negotiations and signing.”
