Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi suffered a ‘little tightness in his hamstring’ in Trabzonspor’s 4-0 win over Kayserispor in a Turkish League clash on Saturday, but believes he will be fit to play again soon, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Nigeria vice captain was replaced in the 28th minute of Trabzonspor’s win for Ugur Demirok and could miss their next game against Osmanlispor on Monday.
Onazi also praised his side’s emphatic win over Kayserispor.
Abdulkadri Omur gave Trabzonspor the lead in the 52 minutes before Yusuf Yazici made it 2-0 ten minutes later.
Burak Yilmaz scored a brace in the second half to wrap up the win.
“Another good performance from the team. I would have loved to finish the game, but had to go out due to a little tightness on my hamstring. But I will be back soon by his grace,” Onazi wrote on his Instagram page.
Onazi has made 18 league appearances for Trabzonspor who are sixth in the Turkish Super Lig table with 45 points from 28 games.
Trabzonspor are still in contention for one of the two UEFA Europa League spots in the Turkish League with six games left to play.
