Ogenyi Onazi’s agent Jonathan Barnett has revealed he will hold talks with Lazio’s President Claudio Lotito over the midfielder’s future as hints that a possible switch to England or Germany are on the cards in the coming weeks should the Super Eagles star become available.
The 21-year-old, who scored once in 29 Serie A games last season, has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico after impressing suitors at the World Cup.
He is valued in the region of 11 to 14 million euros by the club.
“I am going to fly over to Rome to find a proper solution with Lazio,” Barnett told Calciomercato.it.
“You have to win the trust of Mr. Pioli unless the market will take him somewhere else.”
Barnett claims a host of EPL and Bundesliga clubs are interested in the midfielder and says Onazi’s value might rise with specific offers.
Onazi is currently recuperating from a sprained ankle he sustained at the Mundial where played in all four games for the Super Eagles.
