Former Super Eagles coach Adegboye Onigbinde is hopeful that the recent crisis in the Nigeria Football Federation which could culminate in a FIFA ban is resolved amicably.
A letter from FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke warned the parties in the latest court imbroglio to ensure that the matter is settled by midday Friday or Nigeria will be banned until at least May 2015.
“I’m not an insider in the NFF but like any other Nigerian, I hope they will resolve the differences so that Nigeria do not get banned by FIFA,” Onigbinde tells Completesportsnigeria.com.
“The paramount thing that should be on the minds of those having differences should be the career of the young players who could be the worst hit by the effect of any ban. I believe that it will be peace eventually and things will be back to normal. There is a place to take issues concerning such things to.”
