Super Falcons striker Desire Oparanozie has been counting her blessings following her move to top French women's football league side Guingamp, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Oparanozie who had stints in Russia, Germany and Turkey now relishes playing for Guingamp.
Commenting on her progression with the Guingamp switch, Oparanozie told cafonline: “Playing in France has been good. I feel very welcome here.
"I've been happy since I got here and things have really improved compared to the other places that I've played in Europe."
Oparanozie went on to reflect on her appearance at the maiden edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in New Zealand in 2008 with the Flamingoes stating it helped launched her football career.
“It all started in New Zealand though. Playing there in a FIFA-organised tournament was a great platform for me.
"The experience was very good and I thought if I could play at this level, I could play at the World Cup. I told myself: 'Why not go all the way?'”
