Wolfsburg teenage striker, Victor Osimhen, has assured coach Gernot Rohr he will give his best to the Super Eagles after he was named in the 23 man squad to face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo on June 10, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Osimhem who has made three substitute appearance this term for Wolfsburg is one of the three strikers included in the squad by Rohr.
Osimhen arrived the Super Eagles camp in Paris, France on Wednesday after helping his German side retain their topflight status by defeating Bundesliga 2 side, Eintracht Braunschweig 2-0 on aggregate in the 2016/17 promotion and relegation play-off.
"Hi Nigerians, I am here in the Super Eagles camp. I am here to give my best and work hard for the good of the team,'' Osimhen said in a short video clip tweeted on the official handle of the Nigeria Football Federation.
Osimhen was first called up to the Super Eagles for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania in 2016, but was not listed in the matchday squad.
The former U17, U20 and U23 striker could make his debut against South Africa in Uyo.
