Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini will be without Vincent Kompany, David Silva, Wilfried Bony and Samir Nasri for the Champions League trip to Juventus on Wednesday, but he insists he will not settle for a draw in Turin, although his side are already through to the round of 16.
"The important thing is to try to recover our performance," Pellegrini said during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, referring to the 4-1 home loss to Liverpool.
"It's important to try to win, we always try to win.
"If you can't win then, of course, it's always good to get a point, but we are not going to go to Juventus just to try to draw."
Juve have injury problems of their own ahead of the match, with Hernanes (groin) and Sami Khedira (muscular injury) ruled out.
Former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra was substituted after 29 minutes of a 1-0 Serie A win over AC Milan on Saturday and will be assessed alongside Martin Caceres (thigh).
