Manuel Pellegrini has stated that Manchester City are still very much in their semi-final contest against Real Madrid.
In the first leg that was played on Tuesday night, at the Etihad Stadium, both sides settled for a 0-0 draw.
They will meet on Wednesday next week for the reverse fixture in Madrid to decide who progresses into the final.
“I don’t think Real are favourites,” City manager Pellegrini said in his post-match interview.
“They have the advantage of playing away first – but we play the same way away as at home.
“It was a very close game. We tried from the beginning to win – we pressed high – but we were not very creative.”
The Chilean went on to praise Joe Hart, who made two vital saves, to keep City in the tie.
“It was very important (Harts save). He didn’t have much work for the whole game but Joe is a good keeper.”
