–Enyimba Lose 1-0 to Akwa United in Uyo

Champions Kano Pillars maintained their leadership on the log despite being forced to a 1-1 draw by home team, FC Taraba in week 26 of the Globacom Nigeria Professional Football League which resumed on Wednesday after the crises that befell the NFF was resolved.
Adamu Hassan put Pillars in front in the 45th minute, but a late goal by Taraba made sure both teams shared the spoils.
In Ogbomosho, second placed Nassarawa United lost 3-0 to Crown FC, with the trio of Bode Daniel, Harrison Egbune and Francis Nnedum scoring in the 28th, 49th and 54th minute respectively.
Former champions Enyimba were also on a losing side. The People’s Elephant who are a point behind Nasarawa United on the log, fell 1-0 to Akwa United in Uyo. The only goal of the encounter came off the boot of Kufre Ebong in the 45th minute.
At the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, Rangers managed a 2-1 victory against Dolphins. One-cap Super Eagles striker Osaguona Ighodaro opened the scoring in the 10th minute only for Tijani Adamu to make it 1-1 in the 66th minute. The Flying Antelopes finally secured all three points thanks to a Christian Obiozor strike which made it 2-1.
In a South-South derby between Bayelsa United and neighbours Nembe City, a hat-trick by Frank Egharevba (45th, 53rd and 84th minute) secured all three points for Bayelsa with Timitimi grabbing Nembe’s only goal in he 79th minute as the scoreline ended 3-1.
Other results in the week 26 fixtures include Abia Warriors 2-0 Giwa FC, Heartland 2-0 Kaduna United (John Nnam 12th min, Osas Okoro 20th min), Warri Wolves 1-0 Sunshine Stars (Gbolahan Salami 20th min), Sharks 1-0 Gombe (Chima Akas 56th min) and Lobi 0-0 El-Kanemi.
