Former Enyimba skipper Chinedu Udoji has predicted a tough game for his club Kano Pillars against visiting MFM FC of Lagos on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Kano Pillars will welcome second-placed MFM at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on matchday 25 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Udoji who joined Pillars this season from the Aba side, however stated that his side will be going all out for the win.
"MFM is a very good side and they have been doing well, they parade young players and I am expecting a good game from them," Udoji told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"Hopefully on our own part, we will not disappoint because we have started doing well and we must keep the momentum going on.
"The game against MFM is one of the most important for us this season and our aim is to try and win the game."
Udoji expressed confidence that Kano Pillars who are 10th in the league table and 11 points behind leaders Plateau United, are still in with a shout in the race for the NPFL title.
The central defender added: "I am a very positive person and my coming to Kano Pillars is to try and help the team return to their glory days. In the first round of the season we didn't do very well but the league is like a marathon race, it's just for us to put our acts together.
"Nothing is guaranteed yet, no matter what your position is in the league table. The teams that are high in the league table are doing well but I believe nothing is impossible, we can still pull surprises."
On his performance since joining Pillars from Enyimba, Udoji said: "I think I can give myself a very good mark in terms of my performance.
"Coming into a new team and breaking into the team is not easy. And I have to thank the Kano fans, they've been appreciative for what I have been doing for the team."
