Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick has promised that the Super Eagles will be well motivated to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Speaking in Lagos on Friday, Pinnick said the federation is doing everything possible to ensure that all the friendly matches lined up for the Super Eagles help coach Gernot Rohr to prepare the team well for the World Cup.
“The dream of every father for his children is to excel in everything they do and for me, my dream is for the Super Eagles to win the World Cup and I want to state here that we are going to motivate the players very well for them to give their best at the World Cup in Russia,” Pinnick told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We have drawn our programme and we are going to follow it to the fullest to ensure we perform well in Russia.
“The friendly matches we are playing will help the coach a lot to know how best to prepare his players for the World Cup.”
Nigeria will play Iceland, Argentina and Croatia in group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after playing friendlies with Poland, Serbia, Czech Republic, Congo and England.
