Pinnick: We Will Have A New Super Eagles

–NFF boss wants new players in the national team

President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick says they want to have a new look Super Eagles where ‘new players will come in’ and ‘make the other players sit up’.

This is coming in the aftermath of Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

The embattled NFF boss has been speaking about Nigeria’s failure to make the next AFCON tournament and this time he is saying the NFF are putting measures to make the Super Eagles more competitive.

“We are doing a lot in making sure we have a new look Super Eagles. Once the new players come in, those other players will now sit up,” Pinnick told sl10.ng.

Different opinions have been as to why the African champions failed to qualify to defend her title, with many believing the players didn’t give enough to qualify.

And only on Wednesday, Pinnick blamed the players’ ‘attitude’ for Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the biennial tournament. This failure makes it the second time in three consecutive Africa Cup of Nations competitions that Nigeria has failed to qualify.

It will be recalled that Pinnick had also earlier told sl10.ng that he will work to having more overseas-born Nigerian players play for the Super Eagles.

Please Mr. Pinnick,we need action. Enough of talking.

  • THIS IS INTERESTING. AMAJU IS DOING TRYNG TO MAKE A CLEAN-UP FOR GEJ. YES A BETTER EAGLE IS POSSIBLE. VERY MUCH POSSIBLE. 1). CONCENTRATE ON THE UNDER-17 SQUAD TO MAKE UP THE FOUNDATION OF THE EAGLES. 2). SCOUT FOR MORE NIGERIAN-BORN OVERSEA PLAYERS WHO ARE MORE DEDICATED TO A CAUSE BECAUSE OF THEIR ORIENTATION. 3). KESHI SHOULD BE GIVEN A NEW CONTRACT OR SACK HIM AND EMPLOY A NEW COACH BUT SHOULD BE A NIGERIAN(NO FOREIGN COACH PLS!!!!). 4). KESHI SHOULD HAVE A GROUP OF PROFESSIONAL SCOUTS WHO WILL BE MONITORING ALL OUR PLAYERS WHEREVER THEY ARE AND CONVINCE THEM TO PLAY FOR NIGERIA. I HAVE A FEELING AMAJU IS DOING THE RIGHT THING STARTING WITH SENDING OUR COACHES FOR REFRESHER COURSES.

This spineless Pinnick fellow has lost his credibility with me.
You will never have a good team when the hydra head of Nigeria’s footballing problems remain.
Now I hear Keshi will be given a new contract? A contract for failure to achieve his key deliverable?
Again, a classic case of rewarding mediocrity. Yet, when Siasia had the same issue, he was dismissed, even with a better performance record. Well, ‘Goodluck’ to the whole incompetent lot of them.

Be advised: One thing is for certain – Nigerian football will NEVER progress with Keshi in charge. Never!

Keshi has succeeded in carving out a reputation for himself. The reputation of a coach who is highly unwanted by the Eagle’s fans and enjoys consistent contronversial hallmark.

One thing is certain, Keshi’s alleged high demand among six African countries has proved a mirage. Also, the true impact of this Afcon miss will be evident when the tournament finally commence.

An Afcon miss is the death, but a new contract for Keshi is the burial of any hope for Super Eagles rejuvenation. Sorry Nigeria!

@dronestrike…true talk and i feel you. the entire nff of pinnick and super eagles team with keshi in charge is a joke. keshi should accept the truth: he is not a coach. dunga is appointing young neymar of brazil national team and keshi is spilling gibberish that kelechi ihenacho is too young for the super eagles. nonsense. i dey laugh. keshi is not a coach. the gifted siasia failed once and was not given a second chance. sorry for the super eagles. another four years of rebuilding rubbish gather and play football under keshi.

  • but why? Why nff? Siasia was nt given a single chance nw dey wnt 2 gv dis stupid man another contract! One thing i kn is nigeria wil nt progress cus i see kn justice at nff office. Keshi should be sack like siasia, does it mean nigeria is poor dat dear wil be kn other coach apart 4rm him. Is a pity, is a pitty, is a pity nigeria is a pitty nff.

  • You hv all spoken my mind, nigeria wil neva progres as lng as keshi remains in charge he hs been taking bribe 4rm players and can nt invite quality players foolish man if 15 yr martin odegaard is playing 4 sweden this idiot can nt invite bunch of u-17 % 20 to show their class.if u said u r building a future y cant start here? toni kroos was 18,hw old wz neymar? this man is our problem he shd go bring back SIASIA who is d best coach nigeria ever have.thank you all.

This present nff are bunch of moron who knows the truth pretending and ignoring the truth. A coach who knows what he is doing can build a team within a year. For example Look at Chelsea team today..keshi is business man..he is more of an agent just to satisfy his pocket. .The idiot doesen’t have any technical ability to handle the team. It’s not the draw against south Africa or failure to qualify for afcon that make people call for his sack. .since this moron coach he has take over the team, we should ask ourselves one question with sincerity. .Do Nigeria play a good football under keshi either win or lose. The answer is absolutely no. Where are all those ex footballer who hailing him and call for nff to give him a new contract. It’s a pity that they know the truth but they refuse to say it..pinik or whatever you call yourself. .we are all waiting for your drama.God bless nNigeria

It is obvious that Jonathan’s fabulously corrupt has also affected to one thing yhat unites all Nigerians and jonathan has finally set out to put misery in our lives by interfering in our football and re-hiring this stupid, clueless, and arrogant thing named keshi. Nigerian football will never grow with this man in charge. Why can’t he just resign? Fucking bastard!
