It’s going to be a tough game but nevertheless, Germany will carry the day. Looking at German Team they have a complete and formidable team to win the trophy also they are not a one man team unlike Argetina.

Going by each team performance from the begining of the turnament, German team deserve it unlike Argentina team that reach final by luck.

    Thank you

This match is really an unpredictable match but however the german machine are still having a. Upper over the argentines.
And with a sigh of relief, it is beleived by thousand’s that the germans will prevail

  • (Tony) ger vs arg match preview……..(Germans to be the world champions).
dnt 4get dis two sides met in d quarterfinal 4 years ago in soudt africa,d germans run riot 4 zero against argengtina.am aware d argentina in a friendly match defeated the germans BUT
After Germany’s historic 7-1 thrashing of host Brazil, it is tempting to think that the team is invincible and will roll in the final. But Argentina has been quite effective defensively, having not given up a goal since the group stage. Without the injured Neymar, Brazil had no player with the ability to create goals out of nothing. As you know, Argentina has such a player: Lionel Messi. Breaking down Germany will be the biggest test of his international..

Before the start of the competition, quite a number of heavy weight teams were tagged favourites to win, unfortunately only two has to play the final and only one has to win, this has seen the likes of Spain,Portugal,Brazil being humiliated. Leaving Germany and Argentina to play in the final match.
Germany has done the unexpected, and Argentina has cruised their way into the final. Will Messi do the magic for Argentina again? Will Germany prevail? There is only one way to find out as the 20th FIFA World Cup comes to a thrilling end tonight with the Germany Vs Argentina epic final inside the imposing Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, billed for 9pm Nigerian time.

Germany face argentina in what will be a repeat of their quarter clash in south africa 4years ago. Germany will be inspired by the fact that they brushed aside a south america side enroute the final. A win for the germany make it a 4th world cup title for the german. It will also make the germans the first european nation to win the world in south american shores. Germany have improved after a disappointing showing at the european championships in 2004. The germans have reached the semi final of every major champion since 2006. The German team is made up of a blend of youth and experience. They posses youthful exuberance in the mode of players like tony kross, thomas muller, mario gotze amongst others. Players such as miroslav klose, bastien schwantegie as well as philip lamh also serves as inspiration to the younger players.
For Argentina, they will be going to their 3rd and also the chance to win the world cup on the shores of their continental arch rivals. The can gather inspiration from lionel messi who will be eager to add the world title to the list of titles won in the course of his glitterring career. The argentina will also be encourage by the presence of angel di maria who have been inspiration form all through the tournament. The Argentine team is largely made up of players from the 2005 u-20 world cup winning side. Players such as messi, zabaleta, di maria, fernando gago have grown over the years haven also enjoyed at the Beijing olmpic in china in 2008. I expect a thrilling encounter and hope the best side carry the day. Which side that comes out top, it will a major achievement, joachin loew will hope to win a first major title and become the first man to lead a european team to win the world cup in south america. lengendry sabella, it will be a major achievemnt after years of rebuilding. We look forward to a tension soaked encounter at the end 90mins

My own opinion about today world cup finals between germany vs agentina is that Germany is going to take full advantage of the Argentines tonight. Everybody knows that Argentina cant win Germany because germany have all it takes to win this world cup tonight

  • Anioyibo Chinedu 4 years ago

Its been an interesting tournament so far, with the Germans beating the big teams we huge goal margin! Although tonight match’s going to be a cracker as history has it that no European team has won the tournament on South American soil, while history remain thesame? Or will the Germans re-write that record! There is only one way to find out and am tipping Germans to carry the day by 2goals to 1.

A tasty rematch from the 2010 World Cup lies in wait for world football fans when two of the most impressive teams of the tournament go head to head in the form of Germany and Argentina.

Fate has decreed that one footballing behemoth will lose tonight.

The last game was decided by a thrilling and embarrassing defeat of the argentine by the German’s, largely due to Jens Lehmann’s steely nerves, quicksilver reactions, and a little forward planning.

I’ll compare the constituent parts of the two teams and try to predict whether one side has the edge over the other.

Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer vs. Sergio Romero.

Both keepers are young experienced at this level. Neuer is probably the better  handler, but Romero is not as culpable of charging off of his line.

Both have good reflexes and can make excellent stops. Both have slightly questionable defences in front of them, but the German defence solidified against Brazil while Martin Demichellis still looks a little unsteady.

Defence: As previously mentioned, both defences have been questioned, but in ‘typical German’ fashion Germany’s defence has started to function better as a unit. The Argentinian defence are suffering down the right, where Demichellis and the inexperienced Rojo have been the cause of shredded Argentinian nerves.

Both teams looks solid during their semi-finals matches, while Klose knows Demichellis’ weaknesses better than anyone, having played alongside him at Bayern for years. Expect goals.

Midfield: This will be a key duel. Both play deep strikers and look to pack out midfield with passing options. Messi and Kroos will look to drop back and collect the ball to cause problems and both teams have the pace to launch serious counter-attacks should a team lose the ball in a dangerous area.

Kroos will look to dictate the tempo and flow of the game, and his opposite number in the form of the energetic Gago will look to do the same. These two midfielders will be the outlet that the defence will look to pass out to, and expect many attacks to come from these two deep pass-masters.

Both have capable lieutenants in the form of Sami Khedira and Javier Mascherano. Khedira will offer more threat going forward and offer an able defensive outlet, while Mascherano will be his typical self, snapping at opponents heels and being a general nuisance.

Attack: This is where both teams excel. The likes of Sergio Aguero and dangerous Muller will have to be watched carefully, and given no time to set themselves to shoot.

The most obvious threat is Lionel Messi, who has performed very well by his own incredibly high standards so far and is always capable of creating a moment of pure class which can change a game.

On the Teutonic side of things, the free flowing combination of Miroslav Klose, Mesut Oezil, Bastian Swetzieger, and Thomas Mueller will have to be defended against better than Brazil managed or they have the potential to cause all sorts of problems for the Argentinian backline.

The Managers: How can we ignore the key influences of the managers.

Sabella has gone a long way towards persuading his critics (and there are plenty of them) that he might in fact be a outstanding manager.

Admittedly, with the resources at his disposal it makes the job somewhat easier, but he has fostered a real team spirit as witnessed by the over-the-top celebrations and affectionate drama viewers will receive from him. Might this man emulate the cool, calm, and calculated Franz Beckenbauer and win the World Cup? Only time can tell, but he is on the right track.

Speaking of cool and calculated Germans, current German manager Joachim Loew might also spring to mind. His trust in youth is absolute and he is known to be a meticulous planner. Expect clever tactical manouveres designed to keep key Argentinian’s out of the game, and expect a tactic aimed at pace against the likes of Messi, Aguero and Di Maria. He has delivered more than many expected, and it is not out of the question that he does so again.

Conclusions: This game is not balanced on a knife edge. As German’s are clear favourite with team spirit and dedication, while the Argentinians depend solely on one man (Messi). Both teams have players capable of changing a game, but only Lionel Messi has lived up to expectation compare to other attackers from the Argentine team and I do think that the first goal will be crucial as it will leave the opposing defence open to counter-attacking football, which both teams are expert in.

This game is not too tight to call has Germany is clear favourite, and has the potential to be the most exciting game of the World Cup so far, something we’ve heard before. Lets just hope it can live up to the billing. I back Messi and Muller to shine again, and Higuain to either be prolific or profligate. Either way, bring on the game!

The match will be very explosive with both sides good for the cup but Germans, known for their pace and strength will dominate the game over the Albiceleste which I am very sure and at the end of the day, I see the Germans who have never played a penalty in this World Cup claiming the trophy.
Messi should know this is not Barca where everybody plays his part to win each game. Although, Barca are one of the best clubs in the world today but the Germans first XI are Bayern and Dortmund dominated which makes the work easier for Joachim Low and I see his guys taking the trophy to Berlin after today’s match.

I THINK WE ARE IN FOR A BREATHTAKING FINAL TONIGHT BECAUSE IT’S PROMISES TO BE EXPLOSIVE,THRILLING,ENTERTAINING AND GOOD DISPLAY OF SOCCER ARTISTERY.I WILL GIVE IT TO THE GERMANS BECAUSE THEY HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN IT AFTER THEIR 7-1 THRASHING OF BRAZIL IN THE SEMI-FINAL. ON THE OTHER HAND,IF THE GERMANS DUELLED MUCH ON THAT RESULT,THEY MAY WAIT FOR ANOTHER FOUR YEARS TO WIN THE TROPY BECAUSE THE ARGENTINES ARE LIKE PLAYING AT HOME CONSIDERING THE PROXIMITY TO THEIR COUNTRY,THEY WILL HAVE MUCH OF THE FANS BEHIND THEM AND WILL NOT LET ANYTHING FOR CHANCE.IT’S GOING TO BE ELECTRIFYING AT THE FAMOUS MARACCANA STADIUM AND NEW CHAMPION WILL EMERGE.

I know for sure that Germany will win the world cup from the beginning because they have the ability to do it they have quality players, they have determination and focus they played as a team no selfish play and they are well disciplined despite the rough play from the Argentine they hold their stands and won the world cup
