Claude Puel is looking for his Leicester side to make defensive improvements after their 4-2 defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday. The Foxes chief watched as his side were given the runaround in the first half at the Vitality Stadium when a Ryan Fraser double plus Joshua King’s penalty gave the Cherries a 3-0 half-time lead.
Wes Morgan was sent off on 69 minutes for a second bookable offence and Adam Smith then made it 4-0 to the hosts.
Leicester’s 10 men did finish well with two late goals from a James Maddison penalty and a header from substitute Marc Albrighton.
But, despite making the scoreline a little more respectable, Puel claims there is plenty to work on before their next outing against Huddersfield at King Power Stadium on Saturday.
“We have to correct all this together and it will be important to find a solution because I think it’s a shame,” said Puel.
“For the next game, of course, it will be important to correct defensive aspects and our concentration and focus.
“Of course, to continue to move on – this is important.”Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved. The information contained in Completesports.com may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed without the prior written authority of Completesports.com.
