Enugu Rangers head coach, Imama Amapakabo says he expects a tough fixture against Rivers United in their today's Super-4 opener, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Flying Antelopes will renew their rivalry with one of the sides they beat to the title last season in the second match of the opening day at the Catedral, Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.
Rangers defeated the Pride of Rivers 4-0 the last time both teams met in the Nigeria Professional Football League, but the former Enyimba assistant coach insisted that things will be different this time around.
"It's going to be a different ball game when we come up against Rivers United in the Super Four, mand I'm expecting a tough test compared to the last time we faced them in the league," Imama d told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We know they are still pained by that defeat and will be determined to gain revenge which will make the game more difficult.
"For us, we are determined to do well in this competition, to show our readiness for the new season.
"We will also play in the CAF Champions League and Federation Cup, so it's important to assess how ready we are for the task ahead."
