Enugu Rangers players are focused on Friday's CAF Champions League preliminary round, first leg fixture against Algerian outfit Jeunesse Sportive de Saoura despite disagreement with the club's management over their travel allowance, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The players, Completesportsnigeria.com learnt, engaged in a bitter row with officials of the club over the N95,000 offered them as allowance on the eve of their departure for the game on Wednesday.
"The story is true, we didn't like what they offered us as travel allowance as we made it known to the club officials," centre-back, Kalu Orji tells Completesportsnigeria.com from their hotel in Meridja, Algeria on Thursday.
"They have however agreed to increase it and we trust them not to go back on their promise.
" We are firmly focused on the game and hope to come back home with a win."
Talented midfielder, Godwin Aguda, a member of famous CANE quartet that terrorised opposing defenders in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season also states that their primary objective now is to beat the North Africans.
"We are not thinking about monetary issue for now," the youngster states in a brief chat with Completesportsnigeria.com.
"Our mind is on the game on Friday. After that, we can think about our allowance."
