“It’s kind of a new beginning for us. The coach is still looking at the players, both those who were with us here last season and the prospective ones,” offers spokesman of the team, Solomon Onu to Completesportsnigeria.com.

“The technical crew are just looking at players who can fit into their philosophy and once they get that, then the real business will commence.

“Deutsch is optimistic that his crew will get it right as regards team selection,” he added.

Although Onu did not disclose the identities of the clubs Heartland have line up for friendly games, he however stated that the games will be decided between now and December 23.

“After that, the team will then embark on a two week break to regroup on January 2,” he said.
