The Rivers State Government are prepapred to play the perfect host for the Super Eagles when they take on Algeria in a 2018 World Cup qualifier at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on 7 November, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Confirming Completesportsnigeria.com's repprt in June that the Eagles' home games will be played in Port Harcourt, Commissioner of Sport in the state, Boma Iyaye says Rivers is ready to play the perfect role in ensuring the Eagles qualify for the World Cup.
In a media release made available to Completesportsnigeria.com, Iyaye noted that the state will be a perfect host.
“Rivers State is ready to play the perfect host to the Super Eagles and the international community ahead of this important game," he said.
“The Super Eagles and Olympic football team have played competitive and friendly matches here in Port Harcourt in the past so this is not novelty in any way.
“It is the utmost desire of the Rivers State Government to support the Super Eagles to ensure qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.”
Nigeria face Zambia in October's opening fixture in Group B while Algeria and Cameroun will compete in the other group game.
