By Bamidele Boluwaji:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed that ADO Den Haag right-back Tyronne Ebuehi will be available for the two international friendly matches against Poland and Serbia later in the month, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ebuehi was reportedly injured at the weekend in a Dutch league game but Rohr has assured that having called to speak with the young defender, Ebuehi will be fit for the matches.
“We have got information from Ebuehi and his coach and we are happy that it is nothing serious,” Rohr told CSN.
“He is going to be fit and available for the matches.”
Ebuehi is one of the 28 players invited for the matches billed to prepare the Super Eagles for the 2019 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria will play Poland in Warsaw on March 23 and face Serbia in London on March 27 in their build-up to the World Cup.

That’s a good news to the Nigerian football fraternity.
I hope he is fully fit to show his mettle once again when featured in those two friendly matches ahead…
EBUEHI is a modern day Rb better than Aina and Shehu in that regard…
I pray he keeps fit and make it to the world cup comes June.

I’m relieved. if there’s any player I want to see in those matches, its Ebuehi. I want to see how he cope against Poland’s Lewondowski and later against the Three Lions.

  • Great news about ebuehi, hope to hear this same news about Joel obi.Grant this great talented Joel quick recovery for Friendlies and mundial in Russia for Nigeria.

Joel Obi is not injured. He was only left out of the last match as a precaution for a little knock he had in the previous game. Rohr already talked to him and he said he’s glad to have him in the SuperEagles, that he’s hoping and praying that he remains in great physical condition come the Mundial in June.

Good to see how much Nigerians love their players and wish them well. The government must play its role in making sure that the status of sports in national development and unity is recognized and given adequate financial backing.

  • Just like our professional footballer are making us proud, is it not time we invite professional technocrats, doctors, lawyers, engineers, police, army , IT etc to come and reorganize and reposition Nigeria?
    Just thinking out loud!
