By Bamidele Boluwaji: Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr, is back in France to continue monitoring his players ahead of the build-up games for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports.
According to Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, the Franco-German manager who was in Lagos on Wednesday to watch the CAF Champions League game between MFM FC and Real de Bamako, is keen to spend this weekend watching some players in France and some leagues around him.
“Coach Gernot Rohr has returned to France where he will continue his players monitoring and according to him, he is going to watch some games involving Nigerian players this weekend ahead of the two international friendly matches holding next month”, Ibitoye told Completesportsnigeria.com.
CSN also gathered that the Super Eagles manager may not return to Nigeria again until after the two friendly matches against Serbia and Poland.
“For now, I cannot really say, but it is not likely that he will return to Nigeria again until after the two international friendly matches,” ibitoye stated..
Nigeria will face Poland in Warsaw on March 23rd and take on Serbia four days later in London.
The Super Eagles are also expected play other build-up games against Congo, England and Czech Republic which are lined up for May 28, June 2nd and June 6th respectively.
