ROUND-UP: Ambrose Loses With Hibs; Osimhen, Balogun Benched, Musa Dropped

Super Eagles forward Isaac Success was left out of Watford’s match-day squad that defeated Bournemouth 2-0 on Saturday at the Vitality Stadium. It was the second game Success was missing, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

At the King Power Stadium, Wilfred Ndidi made his second appearance for Leicester City who defeated Brighton Hove Albion 2-0.

His compatriots Kelechi Iheanacho, who is nursing a toe injury, and Ahmed Musa were not listed in Leicester City’s matchday squad.

Goals from Shinji Okazaki and Harry Maguire got the Foxes their first win of this season’s English Premier League campaign.

At the Bet365 Stadium, Alex Iwobi came on for the last ten minutes of Arsenal’s 1-0 loss to Stoke City. It was his second appearance this season in the EPL.

In the English Championship, Sone Aluko played for 62 minutes for Fulham who lost by a lone goal to Sheffield Wednesday at Craven Cottage. It was his third appearance of the campaign.

Sheyi Ojo was an unused substitute in the encounter.

At the KCOM stadium, Super Eagles prospect, Ola Aina made his third Championship appearance for Hull City in their 2-1 loss away to Queens Park Rangers.

In the Spanish LaLiga, Olanrewaju Kayode made his debut for Girona coming off the substitute’s bench six minutes from time in their 2-2 at home to Atletico Madrid. The Nigeria international replaced Cristian Portu in the 84th minute.

Also in the German Bundesliga, Leon Balogun was an unused substitute for FSV Mainz who lost 1-0 to Hannover 96 on Saturday.
At the Volkswagen Arena, Victor Osimhen watched from the sidelines as Wolfsburg lost 3-0 to Borussia Dortmund. Osimhen is yet to make an appearance for Wolfsburg this new season.

In Belgium, Nigerian striker Joseph Akpala replaced Kevin Vandendriessche with ten minutes left to play in Oostende’s 2-1 defeat to Eupen. It was Akpala’s second appearance in the Belgian top division this season.

In Scotland, Efe Ambrose could not help Hibernian from slumping 3-1 to Hamilton Academical in his third Scottish Premiership appearance of the season.

At the Yeni 4 Eylul Stadium, Nigerians Elderson Echiejile and Azubuike Okechukwu were both yellow carded in Sivasspor’s 2-0 win over Yeni Malatyaspor. The pair were both making their second appearance in the Turkish Super Lig and were on from start to finish, Echiejile for Sivasspor, Ilechukwu for Malatyaspor.

The pair of Raheem Lawal and Aminu Umar were on for all of Osmanlispor’s 3-1 home defeat to Galatasary. It was the first appearance for the duo this season.

In Russia, Aaron Samuel came on for Vitinho in CSKA Moscow’s goalless draw away to URAL. He is yet to score in three league appearances.
