Roundup: Ekong On Target In Bursaspor Defeat; Ogude Debuts In Krasnoyarsk Draw With CSKA

Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong, scored his first goal of the season for Bursaspor who lost 2-1 draw away at Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The 25 year old defender headed in Yusuf Erdogan’s corner from the right flank in the 16th minute of the game.

Victor Moses played the last ten minutes for Chelsea who kicked off their 2018/19 English Premier League season with a 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium in Saturday’s English Premier League game

Moses came on for Rodriguez for his first EPL appearance of the season. He has scored 20 goals and provided 18 assist in 219 appearances since he made his debut in 2009/2010 season with Wigan.

At the Vicarage Road, Isaac Success came on in the 74th minute for Andre Gray in his 20th EPL appearance for Watford who began the new season with a 2-0 win over Leon Balogun’s Brighton Hove Albion.

Balogun was benched for the entire duration of the game. A brace from Roberto Pereyra handed the Hornets a comfortable win against the Seagulls.

In the English Championship, Oghenekaro Etebo came on in the 65th minute for Bojan Krkic as Stoke City drew 1-1 away at Brentford. It was his second game of the season.

In Turkey, Aminu Umar made his first start for Rizespor who lost 3-2 to Emem Eduok’s Kasimpasa on Saturday.

In Russia, Fegor Ogude saw yellow on his debut for his new team, FC Yenisey Krasnoyarsk who were held to a 1-1 draw by CSKA Moscow.

Olanrewaju Kayode was left out of Shakhtar Donetsk’s match day squad that came from a goal down to beat Vorskla 4-1 in a Ukrainian league game played on Saturday.
