    Onyekuru had a good game.
However, now that Moses has called it a day with the national team we expect the trio of Onyekuru,Samuel kalu and Success Isaac to compete for Moses vacant place as we wait impatiently for Rohrs first post world cup list which expectedly should pull a huge debate amongst football enthusiasts within and outside the country.
Apparently, our footballers have made great moves from obscure leagues to elite ones. With this development we are looking forward to a more improved super eagles with better qualit of play.
    God bless Nigeria

    • Onyekuru and Success are strikers whilst V Moses is a Right winger/Right back. I’d expect Samuel Kalu (Bordeaux) to be pushed by Ola Aina (Torino) and Kingsley Sokari (Sfaxia Tunisia) for his position in the SE staring slot.
Isaac Success is nowhere near ready to challenge for a strikers place. He played six minutes in his last match and has to prove that he is injury free and playing regularly.

Henry Onyekuru (Galatasaray), Akinyemi Adeleke (IK Start Norway), Anthony Nwakaeme (Trabsonspor), Olanrewaju Kayode (Shakhtar Donetsk)are all ahead of him for a spot in the squad. They are all playing regularly (over 24 matches a season) scoring competitive goals freely in their leagues, in European competitions and are match fit.

They can push for S Nwankwo and Odion Ighalo’s spots in the team as those two have proved they cannot make it at the top. Nwankwo was like a fish out of water, 4 matches no goals for the Super eagles and Ighalo can only score against weak Chinese opposition with only 4 goals in 22 matches for the Super Eagles (or one goal a year at best)

      • The push for Success Isaac as a possible replacement for Victor MOSES is in consideration of his huge skill set and his impressive strong physicality, all of which draw comparison with Victor MOSES.
Success has a lot himself and with necessary encouragement he will deliver.

        With Onyekuru, Success will succeed

Good talk my brother… Am happy he played his game Onyekuru,Balogun and Troost-William Joel Obi and Kalu all engoyed the games..let’s hope they continue this way..for sure we will find a good replacement for V.Moses

  • What a great weekend it was for Nigeria players in Europe with many of Nigeria key players putting up impressive performances for their respective club sides.

    The performances of serie
A debutant,Troost Ekong and Henry Onyekuru caught the eye.
I was elated and equally surprised to see Troost Ekong who only joined Udinese just under a week was handed a starter shirt and gave a good account of himself in a pulsating 2 all draw.

Also I was enthused to see Onyekuru scoring the only goal in his 2nd appearance for Galatasaray.
It is quite pleasing to see Henry who has distinguished himself with previous clubs getting a brilliant career start with Galatasaray.

I hope the National team gaffer,Genot Rohr and his crew are following up his young lad who’s done enough to earn a call up, and consider him as a possible or perhaps worthy
    replacement for retired Moses Victor.

Ola Aina came on in the first half in Torino home loss.
It’s amazing performance for the young lad.
Balogun had a debut to remember with a victory over Man UTD.

Yes Nigerian players are playing in better clubs than last season, I was impressed with Baloguns performance against Man U yesterday.

Yes the team is looking better but my fear is the FIFA BAN. Today is the dead line. Has anybody heard any latest on the NFF issue, i fear for Enyimba, their weekend away win may be useless in Caf conf cup and we may loose out of Nations cup once again.
