Nigeria winger Alex Iwobi made a cameo appearance and Alexi Sanchez scored a hat-trick as Arsenal trounced West Ham United 5-1 at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Iwobi who has failed to feature in Arsene Wenger's side last two English Premier League games against Manchester United and Bournemouth took the place of Mezut Ozil in the 88th minute.
Ozil broke the deadlock in the 24th minute of the encounter.
The German midfielder received the ball from Sanchez following a loose back pass from Angelo Ogbonna and slotted the ball into the net.
The visitors dominated play for most parts of the first half but were let down by poor finishing and lack of incisiveness by their forwards.
West Ham upped their game after the break but were unable to break down the Gunners defence who created few chances on the counter.
Arsenal however took the game beyond them with two quick goals from Sanchez.
The Chilean got the second in the 72nd minute and added the third 10 minutes from time.
Andy Carroll pulled a goal back for the Hammers in the 83rd minute but Arsenal responded with two more goals from Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Sanchez.
