Napoli try to get back to winning ways, while Juventus and Sassuolo meet in top of the table clash
This coming weekend will see the opening weekend of Italy’s Serie A league campaign, with some intriguing clashes to bet on. Inter look to build momentum after recording their first league win last time out, while Napoli look to recover from their setback at Sampdoria and Juventus take on Sassuolo – the top two placed teams in the division.
First things first

Where should I be investing my money?
First up, Inter Milan welcome Parma to the San Siro on Saturday afternoon (15 September) looking to build on their 3-0 win against Bologna last time out. Newly promoted Parma have managed just single point from their opening three games and cannot be relishing a visit to one of the favourites for the league crown.
Argentine forward Mauro Icardi is yet to open his goal scoring account for the season and may well relish the chance of finding his scoring boots against lowly Parma. Given the difference in technical quality between the two teams, we could well see a rout in this one.
Unsurprisingly, it is Inter who come in as the clear favourites to win their second league game of the campaign. The Nerazzurri are at just 1.25 to take the points, with visitors Parma all the way out at 11.00 to record their first win of the new season – another 3-0 win for Inter is priced at 7.50, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$37.50 pay out, according to the Oddsshark site.
Napoli look to get back to winning ways
Veteran boss Carlo Ancelotti suffered his first setback as Napoli boss in the third round when his side were thumped 3-0 away to Sampdoria. They will now have the chance to make amends when they host Fiorentina this coming Saturday afternoon in what should be a mouth-watering clash.
The Viola have a 100 per cent record, winning both of their games played this far and can come into this crunch clash brimming with confidence. They thrashed Chievo 6-1 in their curtain raiser and we could well see goals in this contest.
With home advantage and a point to prove, however, it is Napoli who come into the match as the favourites to take the three points. You can back Ancelotti’s side to win their third game in four outings at a price of 1.61, while Fiorentina are at 5.25 to maintain their 100 per cent record.
And as noted above, expect goals. While it is never easy trying to predict the exact score line of any given game, a 3-1 win for Napoli is priced competitively at 12.00, thereby offering more than a ten-fold return on any investment – you can also back over 2.5 goals in the game at 1.61.
Juventus look to maintain 100 per cent start to the season
And finally, defending league champions Juventus will host early surprise package Sassuolo on the Sunday afternoon. To the surprise of nobody, the Old Lady sit top with three wins in as many games, and are the overwhelming favourites to retain the league title at a price of just 1.33.
But Sassuolo will be in the mood to spoil the party. The club have already defeated Inter Milan and, last time out, beat Genoa 5-3 in a hugely entertaining game, and while they cannot hope to match Juventus in terms of technical quality, can nevertheless perform as a cohesive unit to limit their more illustrious opponents.
And with home advantage and a huge technical advantage, it is Juventus who come into this game as the clear favourites to make it four wins from four at the start of the season. The Old Lady are at just 1.20 to take all three points, while visitors Sassuolo are out at 13.00 to record a shock win in Turin.
Despite Sassuolo’s strong start to the season, they are unlikely to spring any surprises at the start of the season. A 3-0 win for Juventus is priced at 7.50, while a certain Cristiano Ronaldo is at just 1.40 to net his first goal for his new club.
