Sharks Confront Enyimba Without Olalekan

–Blue Angels seek first win in Aba

Sharks center back, Gabriel Olalekan will watch from the sidelines as the Garden City Blue Angels seek to reverse their 0-1 defeat at Enyimba last season when both clubs clash today in a Glo Premier League week 31 fixture in Aba.

Olalekan picked a slight knock in Sharks game with El-Kanemi which has ruled him out of the team’s two consecutive games for now.

Sharks drew 1-1 with the People’s Elephant in their first clash in Port Harcourt and will go all out for a possible first win over Enyimba in Aba having lost 0-1 in their visit last season.

Coach Gbenga Ogunbote and his assistant Maikaba Abdullahi will try to conjure a winning formular that could stop the high flying People’s Elephant, six time winners of the top flight.

Both teams are on 45 points each but Enyimba are merely in front of the Blue Angels on account of superior goals aggregate which makes today’s clash a titanic one.

Enyimba gaffer, Kadiri Ikhana, once handled Sharks and so has a first hand knowledge of his guests, a development that will give the two time African champions a massive advantage.

“We take the game as they come but of course Sharks is a strong team and their position on the table testifies to that so we will have to remain focused and ensure we did not lose concentration all through the ninety minutes.

“We cannot afford to slip up in the games ahead especially now that we’re getting to the closing stages of the season”, Ikhana stressed.
