By Amos Joseph: Former Kano Pillars winger, Azeez Shobowale, is currently negotiating his contract extension with Al-Hilal of Sudan, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The 26 year old told our correspondent that his contract is due to expire in May 2018.
“We are in serious talks at the moment, to see if I can renew my contract with the club,” Shobowale told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I am happy at Al-Hilal, the club has been very good to me since I arrived here two years ago. We have won titles and I’ve had great moments with the team, I must say.
“The supporters love me and I am grateful for everything. Sudan has been like home to me in just a few years I have spent here.”
There are also indications that the former ABS, Shooting Stars and, Dolphins of Port-Harcourt dazzler is being wooed by several clubs who also need his services.
Should Azeez decide not to extend his contract with the Sudanese club, he may move to the North African region where he is likely to earn higher pay.
He said: “Yes, the offers are coming in, and I am trying to weigh my options. We all want to grow in everything we do, and if a better offer comes, why not.”
Azeez Shobowale scored a total of seven goals and won the league title with Al-Hilal in the recently conclude season. Last season, he won two titles with the club which includes the league and FA Cup known as Sudan Cup.
