Former Nigerian striker, Shola Ameobi has signed a new deal with English Football League Two side, Notts County, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The details of the deal was however not revealed on the official website of the club which confirmed the contract extension on Tuesday.
The 35 year old joined Notts County as a free agent in February and scored four goals in 17 appearances.
Ameobi told the club's website that he was delighted to extend his stay at Meadow Lane, stating that he is prepared to help the club achieve their targets next season.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club so far and I'm excited for what next season holds in store," Ameobi said.
"I've been taken aback by the support of the fans, who have welcomed me into their club with open arms, and I'm determined to help make the 2017-18 campaign an enjoyable and successful one for them."
Ameobi began his career with Newcastle United before joining Stoke City on loan in the final year of his contract.
After he was released by the Magpies, Ameobi joined Turkish second division side Gaziantep BB. He also featured for Crystal Palace, Bolton Wanderers and Fleetwood Town.
