Enyeama who was not available for the two matches played so far in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers due to personal issue is expected to be named in the Coach Stephen Keshi’s 23-man list that will be released any moment from now for the Sudan matches.
Speaking ahead of the double header, Shorunmu, a former Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper who also featured at the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea/ Japan said he is confident that the Lille FC of France star will be available to represent his nation in the encounters.
“Next month’s matches are going to tough but I must tell you that we are preparing towards the games and I can tell you that we are going for nothing short of victories in the matches, the players know what is at stake in the two games, so we are working hard to win the matches”, says Shorunmu.
“Enyeama will definitely be available, he only took permission for the two games played so far and we are looking forward to having him back in the team for the two games against Sudan. Ejide did his best and we really appreciate his efforts but getting the full squad for the matches will also help us to achieve the result we dream of,” he added.
It would be recalled that Israel based Austin Ejide was on duty while Enyeama was away to attend to personal issue and with Keshi ‘s readiness to invite his full squad for next month matches, the Super Eagles are expected to win the two matches and remain on track for the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
