–Ex-int’l hails Eagles strikers loan move away from Chelsea
Former Nigeria goalkeeper and Super Eagles goalkeepers trainer, Ike Shorunmu has heaped plaudits on Victor Moses for moving to Stoke City (on loan) saying it will give him opportunity to enjoy regular football action.
Moses on Saturday departed Chelsea on a season long loan at Stoke City where he will interestingly re-unite with compatriot, Osaze Odemwingie, his Super Eagles teammate at the concluded World Cup in Brazil.
“Playing regularly in a club is important for any player so I think it was a good dedcision for (Victor) Moses to have moved to Stoke”, offers Shorunmu who in his playing days stood between the sticks for Besiktas of Turkey as well as Scion of Switzerland.
“Playing week in, week out will enhance his game, career and also don’t forget the 2015 AFCON qualifiers are around the corner so it’s important to keep his shape and form which he can only do by playing regularly.
“It’s good for him, its good for the national team as well. He has a lot of potential and I’m confident with hard work he’ll make it especially now that he has another nigerian there (Osaze Odemwingie) who will keep him company and feel at home”.
