By Adeboye Amosu:
Kano Pillars forward Gambo Mohammed is close to return to regular action, completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The lanky hitman was one of the Pillars players who suffered gun shot injuries when the team bus was attacked by armed bandits on their way to Owerri ahead of their Glo Premier League opening game with Heartland.
He has been unable to play for the Masu Gida since then, after undergoing treatment at the Malllam Aminu Kano General Hospital.
An official of the club Idris Malikawa has however disclosed to completesportsnigeria.com that the talented goalgetter has returned to training.
''Gambo has recovered well but I can tell you when he will return to action as we are still waiting for directives from our medical team to clear him," Malikawa said.
''We are happy that he is out of hospital and the fans are happy to see him come around to train with his collegues once again.
''He is an important player for us and will believe things will improve positively for the team when he returns to action.''
