–National U-23 Eagles coach advises Watford star to remain focused
National U-23 Eagles coach Samson Siasia has predicted that Watford forward Odion Ighalo will shine in the English Premier League having helped his team gained promotion to the elite division.
The former Flying Eagles star who was invited to the Super Eagles recently has been very impressive for Watford this season and Siasia believes he will do more in the Premiership.
“Ighalo is not a new player to me, I know him very well and I can tell you that having done his best to help his team gained promotion to the Premiership, he will also be one of the players to watch out for next season”, begins the former Super Eagles handler.
“It is just unfortunate that we cannot have him in the Dream Team but even beyond Watford, he has the quality to also shine in the Super Eagles.
The Nigeria international has so far scored 20 league goals for his club and Siasia expects Coach Stephen Keshi to make good use of the forward in the national team.
“The senior national team coaches have decision to make on the choice of players they invite but I can see Ighalo as one of the players that will make the Super Eagles stronger.
Meanwhile, Coach Samson Siasia while congratulating Ighalo on his arrival in the EPL has also advised the Nigeria international to remain focused and always give his best for both country and club.
“I can only advise him to continue giving his best and also to remain focused, he is young and has a lot to achieve in football.
