National U-23 team coach Samson has called for a resolution of the impasse between the Nigeria Football Federation and out of contract Stephen Keshi.
The seeming impasse between Keshi and the NFF has predictably divided public opinion but Siasia, in a chat with supersport.com, wants the “issues sorted out” quickly.
“This is between the federation and Stephen himself. I believe that if both parties sit down (and have discussions), they will be able to sort out their issues.
“If that is done, they will be able to continue to build Nigerian football. I would not want to talk more about this because it is really not my problem.
“But as a Nigerian, I just want to wish them the best of luck so that hopefully, they will be able to resolve their issues.”
Keshi was appointed Nigeria head coach in 2011 and his contract ran out in 2014. He was sacked midway through Nigeria’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying campaign.
The NFF however performed a dramatic detour before offering him a temporary contract to complete the Super Eagles’ 2015 Afcon qualifiers in which was a failure.
