Godwin Obaje has made a big mark in his second full season in the Nigeria Professional Football League. The 18-year- old currently sit at the top of the leading scorers\' chart with 18 goals.
Godwin, whose elder brother Joshua plays for another NPFL side, Plateau United, only joined the Tourists from National League side, JUTH FC last season.
He contributed six goals last term as Abdu Maikaba\'s men agonizingly missed out on picking a continental ticket.
The well built striker is sure to succeed former Warri Wolves striker Gbolahan Salami who finished as the top scorer in the last term with 17 goals as the leading marksman in the league this season. He has open up a five goal difference between him and his two nearest challengers.
2. ABDULRAHMAN BASHIR (NASARAWA UNITED): 13 GOALS)
The young striker is back in the limelight once again after his career stalled following a move to Nigeria Professional Football League champions Enyimba two years ago.
Bashir linked up with the Peoples Elephant after a remarkable season with ABS Football Club of Ilorin who now campaign in the National League.
But he struggled to tie down a regular shirt at the club with Mfon Udoh, the man who scored the highest number of goals in a single season (23) in the NPFL preventing him from playing regularly for the club.
Bashir revived his career when he linked up with Lobi Stars of Makurdi last term but seems back to his best following a move to Nasarawa United where he has now netted 13 times so far this season.
Though he has experienced a goal drought for some time now, Bashir scored in six consecutive games at a time this season.

Gata started the season with Niger Tornadoes where he netted nine times before switching over to FC IfeanyiUbah during the mid- season transfer window.
He has scored four goals since linking up with the Anambra Warriors to increase his haul to 13 goals.
4. ANTHONY OKPOTU (LOBI STARS): 13 GOALS
The Panther as the forward is called by his admirers has shouldered goal scoring responsibilities for Lobi Stars since his return to the side during the middle of last season following a stint with Libyan side Al Ittihad.
Okpotu underlined his goal scoring prowess by hitting the back of the net for the Makurdi- based side 10 times last term and this season, he has bagged 13 goals.
He could probably have scored more goals if not for a brief spell he had in Norway where he underwent trials with an unnamed club.
5. CHISOM EGBUCHULAM (ENUGU RANGERS): 10 GOALS)
The left winger is part of the Enugu Rangers\' fearsome attacking quartet tagged CANE by the club faithfuls which also include the trio of Bobby Clement, Gowdin Aguda and Obinna Nwobodo.
The impressive showing of the 29- year-old who has scored10 goals this season is one of the reasons the Flying Antelopes are on the verge of breaking their 32 year title drought.
6. RABIU ALI (KANO PILLARS): 10 GOALS
The talented midfielder who has won three Nigeria Professional Football League titles with Kano Pillars has shouldered goal scoring responsibilities for the Sai Masu Gida this season due to the injury-enforced absence of the club\'s captain, Gambo Mohammed, for most part of the campaign.
The 35- year- old has scored 10 goals for the Mohammed Babaganaru led side, making him one of the most prolific players in the league this season.
