Stakeholders’ Meeting Going On At NFF Secretariat

By Izuchukwu Okosi:

As football fans and experts eagerly await the outcome of the FIFA verdict on lifting of the temporary suspension placed on Nigeria, Completesportsnigeria.com reports that a meeting involving all aggrieved parties in the impasse rocking Nigerian football is currently going on in the NFF office in Abuja.

Men of the State Security Service(SSS), the Police and sports journalists, as well as other stakeholders in Nigerian football are present at the stormy session which is aimed at ending the crisis in the football body.

A report earlier this morning on the Social Media stated that Men of the State Security Service (SSS) had taken over the premises of the NFF office but Completesportsnigeria.com can report that the meeting is a peaceful one.

A source told Completesportsnigeria.com that the presence of the SSS may be unconnected with the allegation of financial misappropriation leveled against Maigari.

“No, no the SSS are not intimidating anyone or stopping anyone from going or coming in”, Complete Sports’ Correspondent Richard Jideaka responds from the NFF office when our Lagos office put a call for an update on the meeting.

However, former Gombe State FA Chairman, Shuaibu Gara Gombe, promised to speak to Completesportsnigeria.com later in the day.

“We shall talk about it, for now, we can’t speak”

The staunch loyalist of embattled NFF President Aminu Maigari had in the wee hours of Friday taken to Facebook to announce the clandestine moves by the anti- Maigari-led NFF board to force an impeachment move.
