Sudan Coach: We Can Win In Abuja

Sudan coach Mohamed ‘Mazda’ Abdalla has boasted his team can win again away in Nigeria on Wednesday when they face African champions Nigeria in a 2015 Afcon qualifier.

Mazda told AfricanFootball.com during an interview at the Bole International Airport in Ethiopia on Sunday morning that they are hungry to record a second win in Group A.

“We started the campaign on a wrong note losing 3-0 to South Africa, but this was all because of the impact of coming out of the fasting period for Muslims which meant that the players were still weak,” explained the experienced coach as his team waited to connect a flight to Nigeria.

After losing the two opening games, Sudan managed a 1-0 win over the Super Eagles on Saturday in Khartoum to bring back their campaign on track.

Bakri Almadina scored the lone goal that has motivated the Sudan team to travel to Abuja and hunt for another three points.

‘Mazda’ said that they are going to Nigeria to put up a real fight.

“We know what to expect because Nigeria is bottom of the table and badly need to get a win. But we shall not give them that room to do what they want to do,” cautioned the coach who was in-charge when the team took part in the 2012 Afcon finals.

Speaking about his team, the coach said he has managed to bring in several young but skilful players who are starting to get the exposure.

“We are building a formidable team that will become a force to reckon with,” promised the coach.

I guess they can do that in Abuja as well because we don’t have neither coach, nor players. The current eagles are tired legs

I do not see any reason why you cannot win in Abuja. If your players play the way they did in Khartoum, victory will be yours. Have no fear. We have a stubborn coach who is bereft of ideas at this point. The world is yours Sudan!

I expected the super Eagles to beat Sudan but the super Eagles must win the remaining matches .We have talented players in the country but I don’t know what is the happening as regards the set of players Keshi are using. Obafemi Martin ready to be invited but was refused, and what of Sunday Mba? Uche? When you are champion your opponent would like to defeat you, and as a champion you don’t just relax as if you have arrived but rather to put more efforts, and achieve tangible results. I am of the opinion that the juniors national teams are well composed, coordinated, discipline with the coaching crews, and this makes the teams to get good results .The Sudan junior team beat Nigeria under 17 two goals to one but the return match in Nigeria, we defeated the Sudan by five goals to zero, I hope the super Eagles will do the same this week.

why not coach, do your home work well and sky is your limit, after all those so called super eagles are no more super but collapsed, unfit, and biggerboys who has nothing to offer for the nation rather their clubsides. sudan have done it before in ENUGU when the so called BROTHERS U-20 NIG loss 2-1 to U-20 SUD team,
