Sunshine Stars' chief scout, Adeyinka Adebayo has labelled the club's former forward Ajani Ibrahim a traitor for the way he handled his switch to Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan.
The petite striker absconded from the Akure Gunners camp without the consent of the club, prompting a tough transfer tussle between Sunshine Stars and 3SC.
Players' Status Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation mediated on the matter, and mandated 3SC to pay Sunshine Stars N5m as Ajani Ibrahim transfer fee.
Sunshine Stars chief scout, Adebayo has however expressed his disappointment with the way the player treated the club despite all what they did for him in the past.
He also lauded the NFF for handling the case with fairness and openess.
"The boy (Ajani Ibrahim) is a traitor," Adebayo told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"He stabbed us in the back despite all we have done for him in the past.
"There is no big deal in a player moving from a club to another, but things must be done in a proper manner, not absconding from your team when you still have a valid contract.
"We are happy that the NFF ruled in our favour and we wish best of luck at his new club."
