Sunshine Stars newly contracted English coach, Paul Ashworth, was Monday unveiled to the media after the gaffer signed his contract papers with his employers, Ondo State Football Development Agency, ODSFA.
Aside Ashworth, his other technical staff also signed their papers and were similarly presented to the media and supporters of the club.
The Commissioner was full of praise for the leadership of the agency under the chairmanship of Akin Akinbobola.
“We are not surprised with the level of success being recorded at the football agency as we have absolute confidence in the ability of the chairman of the agency who is a miracle worker”, the commissioner said.
Akin Akinbobola who is the ODSFA chairman thanked Gov. Mimiko for the support so far given to the agency.
He promised to always work hard to realize the vision of making Ondo State the “MECCA and BRAZIL” of football in Nigeria.
“We must give God the glory and must not fail to appreciate the efforts of Governor Olusegun Mimiko for providing the needed support and the enabling environment for the success to be recorded.
“We shall continue to work hard to take football development to the next level in the state and beyond”. The new Technical Director Paul Ashworth said the vision of Gov. Mimiko in the area of football development was the reason he chose Ondo State ahead of other offers he had.
He promised to work hard for the success of the agency and solicited for support from all stakeholders.
