Sunshine Stars forward, Tunde Adeniji insists he can beat the other contenders to the top scorers award in the Glo Premier League after netting a brace in the club's 5-1 win against Rangers on Wednesday, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The dark skinned striker leads the chart with 16 goals, one more than the duo of Esosa Igbinoba and Gbolahan Salami of Nasarawa United and Warri Wolves respectively.
He is however determined to finish the season as the leading marksman in the league.
"I'm happy to be on the goal trail again after going few weeks without scoring for my club," Adeniji told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"My main target now is to help my club secure a continental ticket and also win the top scorer award."
Enyimba's Mfon Udoh scored 23 goals last season to emerge the highest goal scorer in the Nigeria top flight.
