The Super Eagles did not watch the opening ceremony and the first game of the World Cup between hosts, Brazil and Croatia on Thursday evening, as the match started around the same time the team had been scheduled to start training.
In the morning of Thursday, June 12, the squad had fitness training at the gym located inside the Vitoria Hotel Concept, Campinas.
The training held Thursday was not for public consumption, similar to what happened on Wednesday afternoon.
However, journalists were allowed to cover the first 15 minutes before being ordered off the training ground at Estadio Brinco de Ouro.
