Super Eagles Stars Mourn Victims Of Plateau Killings

By Johnny Edward:

Super Eagles players have mourned the victims killed during attacks on Gashish district of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

At least 86 persons were confirmed killed by suspected herdsmen.

With the Super Eagles gearing up for their crucial game against Argentina in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday, John Ogu, Wilfred Ndidi and Leon Balogun expressed their displeasure at the killings via Twitter and urged Nigerians to pray for the victims.

“Please everyone wherever you are pls pray for plateau.#PrayForPlateau 🙏🏾,” Ndidi tweeted.

John Ogu tweeted: “#PrayForPlateau. They need our Prayers!!🙏🏼🙏🏼

“#UnitedWeStandDividedWeFall 🙏🏽,” Balogun tweeted with a picture of a candle mouring the victims.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to bring the killers to book.

“The grievous loss of lives and property arising from the killing in Plateau today is painful and regrettable,” he said.

“My deepest condolences to the affected communities, we will not rest until all murderers and criminal elements and their sponsors are incapacitated and brought to justice.”

There we go. Mikel, Onazi, Musa and others have families in Plateau. Sure the President wants them to win their next match. Yet he does nothing about the mindless killings perpetrated by Fulanis. Why cant he use the same brute force with which he quelled Biafra to quell Fulanis also? These kind of killings have effects on the psychology of us all. I couldnt sleep last night cos of this. Am sure the players couldnt sleep too. Now will anybody blame them if they lose to Argentina? Well lets pray they dont. But if they lose, I wont be surprised. Buhari cant just continue like this.

  • @Pascal Buhari’s brute force has not quelled BIAFRA!
Buhari can kill a messenger but not an idea whose time has come. Guns and bullets can not kill ideologies.
Back to soccer, our boys should focus and ignore the fulani herdsmen within and outside Aso rock..

Go super eagles, go light the world, let there be some light of good news about nigeria.

Guys watch out,we have morons on this site who supports blindly.

  • Herdsmen are not hard men. If our government is serious enough, they are for sure not invincible. Let’s keep praying for our beloved nation for victory over all her foes including Argentina today. Up Eagles!
