By Adeboye Amosu: Nigerian table tennis star Aruna Quadri has recorded another impressive feat as his picture covers the January 2018 edition of Tokyo-based World Table Tennis Magazine, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Quarries picture with his face in full profile covers the entire magazine, with his interview titled ‘Superstar In Africa’ the lead story.
Quadri is recognised for his remarkable showing in the game in 2017 which saw him record some important feats.
The talented player is currently ranked 21st in the world by the International Table Tennis Federation.
The 29-year-old is also the number one player in Africa with fierce rival Egypt’s Omar Assar in second position.
Quadri enjoyed a remarkable year, winning the Polish Open men’s singles title and becoming the first African to win an ITTF title outside the continent.
He also made it to the semi-finals of the Bulgaria Open, losing to eventual champion Dmitrij Ovcharov and reached the last eight at the Swedish Open.
