New National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Reverend Samuel Ikpea, has promised to do everything possible to take the body to a new level.
Ikpea, who was voted in as National Chairman following the Nigeria Football Supporters Club election held in December, told Completesportsnigeria.com that the club plans to go as far arranging friendly games for the Super Eagles as part of their own contribution to the national team.
"I want to say my tenure will go beyond just supporting the senior national team," Ikpea said. "For instance we missed out on two Africa Cup of Nations finals and if there is no football, what do you want to support.
"We want to look beyond just supporting our national team, we want to see how we can involve ourselves in grassroot football. We want to see how we can involve ourselves in other areas of the game. So in 365 days in a year, we will be busy as far as the club is concerned.
"There is nothing stopping us in arranging friendly games for the Super Eagles. We also want to be involve in administration, it's not just about support. Hopefully all our set target will be met."
Ikpea went on to express his gratitude to the supporters club for voting him as National Chairman.
He said:"Let me use this opportunity to thank members of the supporters club world wide because they have been able to show by voting me as their chairman, they appreciate the good works I have been doing."
