–Ex-Eagles defender says Brazil are no threats
By. Sab Osuji:
Pastor Taribo West has honestly tipped Flying Eagles to rule the world when the FIFA U-20 World Cup gets underway in New Zealand later in the year.
Taribo, a former Super Eagles defender was reacting to the National U-20 team’s emergence as African champions and group opponents of Brazil in the coming FIFA U-20 World Cup.
“I saw the Flying Eagles play in Sunday’s AYC final with hosts, Senegal and I was absolutely impressed with their game”, former Eagles star says.
“There’s a whole lot of character in the team, very strong character for that matter. They play with a lot of determination, commitment and team work.
“On the strength of what I saw of them on Sunday, defying the near intimidating home crowd to play the way they did and come back with the trophy, I believe if they continue in that spirit and improve on their play, they will make Nigeria and Africa proud at the World Cup.”
Reminded that they have been logged together with Brazil in the same group, Taribo insisted that theManu Garba boys he saw on Sunday will not fret over Brazil, but instead have what it takes to ruffle feathers with them and eventually overcome them.
