Team Nigeria increased their medals at the on-going 11th All Africa Games to two late Saturday night.
The Nigerian gymnastics male team won the second bronze for Team Nigeria in the team event after finishing third.
Their women counterparts finished fourth, outside the medals range.
The gymnastics event continued on Sunday with Individual Final Vault (men) and women at the Makelekele Indoor Sports Hall.
Nigeria gymnastics coach, Isaiah Obanor, said the bronze medal won by his male team will inspire Team Nigeria’s gymnasts in the remaining parts of the event.
“We hope to build on this as the gymnastics event continue,” Obanor told completesportsnigeria.com.
Meanwhile, it was a rather disappointing start for Team Nigeria in the swimming event of the All Africa Games here in Congo Brazzaville.
The duo of Ifiezibe Gagbe and Samson Opuakpo crashed out at the heats stage at the Olympic Swimming Pool of the Sports Complex, Kintele.
Ifiezibe could not make the finals stage after returning in a time of 101.1 secs in the 100m Freestyle women.
In the 50m Backstroke men, Samson Opuakpo returned with a time of 28.91 secs to face the exit door of that category of the event.
Swimming event continues on Sunday at the Congo Brazzaville 2015 All Africa Games.
