Tevez Eager To Make Argentina World Cup Squad With Top Showing For Boca Juniors

Argentina forward, Carlos Tevez, says he will do everything possible to win a place in the country’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Tevez left boyhood club Boca Juniors  for Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenhua, in a deal reportedly worth $40million in December 2016, but completed a return to Buenos Aires this month after struggling in China.
The 33-year-old, who described his time in the CSL a holiday, impressed in his first appearance since his return for a third stint at the club in front of the adoring La Bombonera, setting up Nahitan Nandez for Boca’s second goal in their 2-0 win over Colon.
“I’m prepared to do my best for Boca Juniors. I’m not going to make it easy for Sampaoli, I’m not going down because I’m working to reach my best level,” the Manchester City striker told Ole.com.ar.
“We have few months left before the World Cup and there is still time for me to force my way into the mind of the coach.
“But first I have to excel in Boca, but the objective is the World Cup.”
Tevez has made  76 appearances for Argentina and scored 13 times.
The Albiceleste are drawn in Group D with Nigeria, Iceland and Croatia.
