Former Super Eagles striker Osaze Odemwingie recovered in time from injury and featured for Madura United who pipped visiting PSM Makassar 1-0 in their last game of the first stanza of the Indonesian top flight on Saturday.
Odemwingie was initially reported to be a doubt for the game after picking up a leg injury in training on Tuesday but recovered in time to make the starting line-up.
The only goal of the game was scored by Nigerian-born Indonesian international Gregory Nwokolo in the 60th minute.
The goal was Nwokolo's seventh in 16 league appearances for Madura United so far this season.
Odemwingie still leads the goal scorers chart with 13 league goals from 16 appearances.
The win sees Madura temporarily go top in the league table on 32 points, usurping Persipura Jayapura who do not play until tomorrow (Sunday).
