Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong, is delighted that his first 90-minute action for his Turkish club, Bursaspor ahead of the new season ended in a win, and is looking forward to helping the club win more in their subsequent games, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Bursaspor recorded a slim 1-0 win against Afjet Afyonspor on Saturday with Aziz Behich netting the only goal of the game in the 37th minute.
Troost-Ekong who recently started pre-season duties at the club featured from the start to end in the game.
“Got the first 90 minutes of the season in the tank last night. Good to start with a win and a clean sheet. #PreSeason ,” he wrote on his Twitter handle on Sundaymorning.
The 24-year-old made 27 league appearances for Bursaspor last season and hit the back of the net twice.
Bursaspor will open their campaign in the 2018/2019 Turkish Super League season with an away game against Fenerbahce on August 11.
