KAA Gent defender, William Troost-Ekong, is delighted to have made his 10th international appearance for the Nigeria in Thursday's international friendly against Senegal, reportsCompletesportsnigeria.com.
An 82nd minute penalty from Kelechi Iheanacho salvaged a 1-1 draw for Gernot Rohr's side after Moussa Sow had opened scoring for the Teranga Lions of Senegal at The Hive Stadium London, home ground of Barnet FC.
The 25 year old who made his debut for the three time African Champions against Chad in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad in Kaduna two years ago, took to Instagram to praise his teammates for the fight against the physically built Senegalese side.
Troost-Ekong tweeted: "Thanks for your great support! Good fight from the team for the draw. Proud to have played my 10th cap for Nigeria."
Troost-Ekong is expected to play a part when the Super Eagles of Nigeria face Burkina Faso in their next international friendly on Monday.
